The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/60-Tr is a workhorse mid-size charge controller — 60A of charge current, 150V max PV input, and terminal-block ("Tr") connections for direct hard-wiring of larger gauge cable. The 150V headroom means you can run residential-grade 60-cell and 72-cell panels in series strings, ideal for cold climates and longer cable runs. Works on 12V, 24V, 36V, or 48V battery banks.
The -Tr suffix indicates terminal-block connections (vs the -MC4 version, which has MC4 connectors pre-installed on the PV side). Choose -Tr if you're hard-wiring panels through a combiner box or running cable through conduit. Choose MC4 if you're connecting standard solar panel leads directly.
