Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a licensed electrician to join?
Not necessarily. We accept licensed electricians, ABYC-certified marine electricians, and businesses with a demonstrated portfolio of professional Victron installations. If you're unsure whether you qualify, just apply and tell us about your experience — we review each application individually.
How is my tier determined?
All approved members start at Bronze. Tier upgrades are based on your net annual purchases from JonssonTech in the prior calendar year. Tiers are reviewed every January 1. If you're close to a threshold, reach out — we'll let you know where you stand.
How does trade pricing work at checkout?
Once your account is approved, your trade discount is applied automatically when you're logged in. You'll see your pricing on product pages and at checkout — no coupon codes needed.
Can I share my login or pricing with clients or other installers?
No. Trade pricing is strictly confidential and for the account holder only. Sharing account credentials or pricing information may result in program suspension. Your clients can shop at retail pricing on the main store.
What is the system design consultation service?
Silver and Gold members can request a free system sizing and design review. Send us your load requirements, panel array, and battery specs, and we'll review your component choices, identify any issues, and provide a wiring diagram PDF for the configuration. Silver members get one per quarter; Gold members have unlimited access.
I'm a new installer and haven't bought much Victron yet — can I still join?
Yes! Bronze tier is open to any verified professional installer regardless of how much you've purchased. We'd rather have you in the program from day one. If you're just getting started with Victron, we can also help you get trained and set up.
