The Victron SmartShunt 500A IP65 is the waterproof version of our best-selling shunt-based battery monitor — sealed against dust and rated for water spray, ideal for boat engine rooms, deck-mounted electrical panels, outdoor solar installs, and anywhere standard electronics can't safely live. Same accuracy and same Victron measurement firmware as the standard SmartShunt 500A, in a sealed IP65 enclosure.

Rule of thumb: if the shunt is going somewhere a phone wouldn't survive without a case, choose the IP65.
