The Victron Phoenix Inverter 12/250 120V VE.Direct NEMA GFCI is the compact entry to Victron's pure sine inverter family — 250VA output (200W continuous), 12V input, built-in NEMA 5-15R GFCI outlet, UL 458 certified for marine and mobile use. Pure sine wave output for clean power on sensitive electronics; not a modified-sine compromise.
Phoenix Inverter vs MultiPlus — which one?
The Phoenix Inverter is inverter-only — no battery charger, no AC pass-through. It converts DC from your battery to AC for your loads, period. Choose it when:
- You don't need a battery charger (you charge from solar, alternator, or external charger)
- You don't need to pass through shore power
- You want a smaller, cheaper, more focused unit
- You're using it as a secondary AC source alongside an existing charger
For all-in-one inverter + charger + transfer switch, see the MultiPlus family.
