The Victron Phoenix Inverter 12/250 120V VE.Direct NEMA 5-15R is the standard-outlet version of the compact 250VA Phoenix — 250VA output (200W continuous), 12V input, standard NEMA 5-15R outlet (no GFCI). The lower-cost option when you don't need marine certification or GFCI protection.

NEMA 5-15R vs NEMA GFCI — which one?

  • NEMA 5-15R (this model) — standard household-style outlet. Use indoors in dry locations. Lower cost.
  • NEMA GFCI — ground-fault protected outlet, UL 458 marine certified. Required for damp locations, marine.

If you're hardwiring downstream of an existing GFCI-protected circuit, or installing in a dry indoor location, this version saves money. For marine, RV galley, or any damp install, choose the GFCI version.
