The Victron MultiPlus-II 12/3000/120-50 2x120V is the split-phase inverter/charger for North American RVs, marine, and backup-power systems — outputs both 120V and split-phase 240V for whole-coach AC, RV park 50A connections (50A-30A pedestal connectivity), and US household 240V appliances. 3000VA pure sine, 120A multi-stage charger, 50A AC transfer switch, UL 458 certified for mobile/marine use.
The 2x120V split-phase output is the key feature — most US RVs with 50A shore power, and most US homes, require split-phase 240V (two 120V legs 180° out of phase). This MultiPlus-II provides that directly without needing an external autotransformer.
Why the MultiPlus-II 12/3000 2x120V
- Split-phase 120V/240V output — 50A shore power emulation, household 240V appliances supported
- 3000VA / 2400W pure sine inverter — enough for most RV / off-grid AC loads
- 120A multi-stage charger — fast charging from shore or generator
- 50A AC transfer switch — automatic shore/generator transfer
- PowerControl + PowerAssist — boost limited shore (16A/30A) for high-draw moments
- Built-in current sensor — supports ESS (energy storage system) self-consumption mode for grid-tied solar+battery systems
- UL 458 certified — legal for mobile and marine use
- VE.Bus networking — parallel or 3-phase capable with additional MultiPlus units
- Multi-stage adaptive charging — bulk, absorption, float, equalization with profiles for AGM, Gel, Flooded, LiFePO4
MultiPlus-II vs MultiPlus — which one?
Choose the MultiPlus-II (this product) if:
- You need split-phase 2x120V output (this is the 2x120V variant)
- You're building a grid-tied solar + battery system with self-consumption mode (ESS)
- You want the newer hardware generation
Choose the original MultiPlus if you only need single 120V output, you're not doing grid-tie ESS, and you want the slightly cheaper option.
What it powers
3000VA / 2400W continuous is enough for:
- RV air conditioner (one mid-size unit)
- Microwave + coffee maker simultaneously
- Mid-size refrigerator + lighting + electronics
- 120V power tools (intermittent duty)
- Household 240V appliances like 240V well pump, dryer (intermittent), water heater (low-end)
- Whole-RV "normal living" load
