The Victron Lithium NG 48V/100Ah is the 48V version of the Next Generation Smart LiFePO4 series — designed specifically for residential energy storage systems, telecom backup, and commercial off-grid. 100Ah at 48V = 5.12kWh per battery; parallel multiple for substantial residential ESS banks up to 385kWh.
What 5.12 kWh per battery enables
- Essential-loads home backup — fridge + lights + internet + electronics for 12–18 hours

What this requires
The Lithium NG series requires an external Smart BMS NG and proper system integration. It is not a drop-in replacement. Typical installations include:
- Smart BMS NG (sold separately)
- Cerbo GX or Cerbo GX MK2 for system integration
- Compatible Victron MultiPlus-II or Quattro-II 48V inverter/charger
- Pre-purchase system design consultation strongly recommended
