The Victron Blue Smart IP22 Charger 12/20 (3 Outputs) is the 3-output version of the 20A IP22 smart battery charger — 20A multi-stage charging across three independent isolated outputs for charging three separate 12V battery banks simultaneously. The right pick for larger marine installs with multiple banks.
The 3-output advantage
Most cruising boats have multiple battery banks:
- Output 1 — main house bank (largest, typically AGM or LiFePO4)
- Output 2 — engine starter battery (AGM or flooded)
- Output 3 — bow thruster, windlass, or generator starter
Each output is isolated — a discharged house bank can't drain a charged starter. The charger distributes the 20A total dynamically based on which output needs current.
