The Victron Blue Smart IP22 Charger 12/15 (3 Outputs) is the 3-output version of the popular IP22 smart battery charger — same 15A multi-stage charging as the single-output version, but with three independent isolated outputs that can charge three separate 12V battery banks simultaneously. Designed specifically for marine and multi-bank installs.
The 3-output advantage
Most boats have multiple battery banks that all need charging when at the dock:
- Output 1 — main house bank (largest)
- Output 2 — starter battery (smaller, AGM/lead-acid)
- Output 3 — bow thruster or windlass bank (or generator starter)
Each output is isolated from the others — a deeply discharged house bank won't pull current from a charged starter battery. Total charge current of 15A is distributed across the active outputs based on demand.
